Chris Frackiewics our ACM owner has a strong passion for sailing. For years, Chris and ACM have sponsored the Sailing Foundation of New York.
In the past, we have proudly sponsored Caleb Paine, a Team USA, Olympic Bronze Medalist.
And now in 2023, we are again proud to sponsor an up-and-coming sailing champion, Noah Lyons.
Caleb Paine
At 7, Caleb Paine’s love for the water and sailing began when he set out to sail his first boat. As his passion for sailing grew, he became the only sailing medalist since 2008 to win a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Caleb continued to follow his dream following the Olympics by pursuing various championship goals. At times it was a struggle for him, but planning to parlay his stellar Rio finish remained his ultimate goal.
He dual-trained for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and the 2021 America’s Cup. Though America’s Cup racing style brings more versatility to an Olympic medalist sailor, Caleb was up for the challenge.
Since his competitive years have slowed, his view is, “Wherever the wind takes me, I will go next.”
Noah Lyons
Like Caleb Paine, Noah Lyons fell in love with the sport when he began sailing at age six; by the time he was eight, he got his first small sailboat.
Noah was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, where he still resides today. He moved through various classes, such as the RS:X and 49er, before committing to an Olympic campaign in the iQFOiL class. During this time he graduated from the University of South Florida with a Microbiology degree. He then put graduate school on hold to pursue his Olympic sailing dream.
