Mr. Ryan serves as Senior Estimator for ACM Consulting Corporation. As senior estimator he is responsible for estimating and reviewing all estimates prepared by ACM Corp. personnel. He has been a professional estimator for over twenty years in the construction industry. His knowledge of construction includes environmental remediation, demolition, mechanical systems, plumbing, pipefitting and general construction.
In 1977 Mr. Ryan began his career in the construction industry working as a plumber.Over the next ten years he became a licensed Master Plumber and managed the piping division of a local mechanical contractor. Among his duties with this mechanical contractor was providing all cost estimates and managing all work. In 1990, Mr. Ryan was recruited by a national environmental firm serving in the position as an estimator.
From 1990 until 2002 he was employed by several environmental remediation and demolition contractors, during this time he gained an extensive knowledge of the skills necessary to perform this work and the costs associated. He has estimated and been awarded projects up to ten million dollars in value.
Currently, Mr. Ryan performs and or reviews all estimates for ACM Corporation. He is involved in the sales, proposals, scheduling and management of many projects.
In 1986, Mr. Ryan graduated from Kean College with a B.S. majoring in Industrial Technology (specializing in mechanical contracting). He is also a licensed Master Plumber in the state of New Jersey.
1251 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY – This project involved the complete interior demolition, asbestos removal and reinstallation of spray-on fireproofing at eight floors (40,000 sqft per floor) of this very prominent high rise building across the street from Rockefeller Center. The reconstruction of all perimeter columns, repainting, recertification of sprinkler and alarm systems, concrete and steel infills, electrical and plumbing modifications were all included in the scope of work on this project. This was a seven million dollar project with a very high profile and tight schedule. All work was completed on schedule.
Roebling Steel, Roebling, NJ – This project involved the asbestos removal at the existing boiler plant of this vacated facility. This boiler plant was approximately 90’ long X 60’ wide X 100’ high with abatement being performed at all levels. The United States Environmental Protection Agency was on site for the duration of this project and observed all work being performed. This difficult project was performed on schedule and safely.
Former Kraft Facility, White Plains, NY – This was a two million dollar asbestos removal and reinsulation project. This project involved completely removing all asbestos containing materials from a 550,000 sqft facility. The materials being removed included pipe insulation, duct insulation, radiator insulation, spray-on fireproofing, boiler insulation, equiptment insulation and transite panels.
The Grace Building, New York, NY – Miscellaneous projects throughout the entire building. Over an eight year period more than six million dollars in work was performed in this building. This work consisted of the interior demolition and asbestos removal of tenant spaces as they became available.
